Lending an open, modern, and industrial feel, we moved into our current location – an eye-catching 15,000 square-foot beauty and esthetician school facility in Tinley Park – back in 2009.
Earning awareness from student accolades and community support events, our beauty and esthetician school is second to none. Our students (we call them Future Professionals) have been recognized for their peerless skills in the annual Illinois Association of Cosmetology Schools (IACS) Student Competition. Additionally, our FUNraising and Free Hugs Day efforts have received in-depth coverage numerous times from local Tinley Park news sources.
As part of the Paul Mitchell Schools network, our beauty and esthetician school graduates gain instant access to a network of successful salons and spas to assist with recruiting, mentoring, support, and job placement. The entire staff at our beauty school, carrying over 30 years of combined scholastic and industry experience, is dedicated to helping students make their dreams come true and find the right home to begin their careers anywhere in the world.

Denmark College School of Barbering is a unique place where men and women of all ages enjoy learning the art of barbering utilizing two basic methods, theory or classroom training and practical or hands-on training. Together the two types of training offer the novice an opportunity to learn and understand the Art of Barbering. Our philosophy is that if provided with a calm, comfortable place to learn with a scheduled delivery of curriculum materials and plenty of people on which to practice, people can learn to be barbers.

Did you know that Paul Mitchell The School Bradley was the very first Paul Mitchell cosmetology school in the state of Illinois? Established way back in 1996, we have continued to grow each year, and we even recently celebrated the opening of our brand new cosmetology school inside the Northfield Square Mall in Bourbonnais, Illinois. Home to 17,000 square feet of new classroom and salon space, our Illinois cosmetology school boasts 40 clinic stations. We are also equipped with the latest in educational audio/visual technology to further enhance the Paul Mitchell experience. And our students love being located inside a mall! Lunch time is a breeze, and the shopping is fabulous!

We’re not like other beauty schools — at a Douglas J Aveda Institute, students receive a world-class education in cosmetology and esthiology, preparing them for creative, rewarding and successful careers in the salon and spa industries.
Our beauty schools promote the unique Aveda philosophy of learning that education is about more than learning technical skills — it is about growing as an individual. Douglas J Aveda Institutes help students to not only master their craft — whether hair cutting, hair coloring, nail or spa and skin care — but also to be their best as an artist and professional. A Douglas J cosmetology education looks great on a resume.
Mario Tricoci spent the first stage of his spectacular career “raising the bar” for upscale salons and created the day spa concept in the Midwest. In a similar fashion, he founded Tricoci University in 2004 with the intent to redefine beauty education.
To develop the very best beauty professionals, Tricoci University has transformed the approach to beauty education. From investing in upscale facilities that rival high-end salons, to the developing advanced curriculum that better prepares you for career success, to the methods used to teach students how to build lasting client relationships, Tricoci University has indeed raised the expectations of what a good beauty education can be.
As Mario says, “it’s not about just getting a job, we help you start a career.” Making sure that first job after graduating is the right one for you will help get you on the right career path.
Turn some heads! Are you always getting compliments on your own style and fashion sense? Why not turn what you love into a career?
A student who successfully completes 1500 clock hours of work in TCD’s state-licensed School of Cosmetology and passes the practical exam will be awarded a certificate from TCD and qualify to take the Illinois State License Exam.
What will my classes be like?
Step behind a stylist’s chair in the Technology Center of DuPage “Salon 301,” and develop your skills in cuts, colors, perms, nail technology, esthetics, and make-up application. Through practice and instructor demonstrations, you will learn professional-level techniques.
There is a serious side to all this glamour! You will be amazed to learn how chemistry, anatomy, and geometry are used every day by cosmetology professionals.
Apply your skills through TCD’s full-service salon, industry internships, or community projects (theatrical productions, fashion shows, and community service events).
It is possible to earn up to 46 hours of college credit through this program. After graduation, use that great head start to obtain an associate’s degree, adding even greater value to your state license.
