The U.S. Department of Education (DOE) is proposing an inadequate gainful employment framework that resembles its 2014 regulatory efforts and fails to include critical protections to ensure a fair process and use of the best possible data regarding debt-to-earning (D/E) rates.
As the Illinois chapter of the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS), members are encouraged to join upcoming AACS webinars to learn more and prepare official public comment responses due to DOE by June 20th.

The Illinois Association of Cosmetology Schools will also work to prepare public comment in coordination with AACS and our members this month to push for appropriate protections regarding gainful employment regulations.
Stay tuned for more in the coming weeks!!!
