Committee At Work

IACS has four standing committees:

Membership: “The mission of the membership committee is to explore ways to expand member services for sustainability; and to seek member feedback in an effort to create a stronger feeling of community within the industry.”

Communications: “The work of the Communications Committee is focused on the creation, development and execution of various communication vehicles to generate interest in cosmetology as a career in Illinois, as well as help to deliver a consistent message to the industry of the value-added benefits to being an IACS member.”

Legislative: “The work of the Legislative committee is to maintain consistent visibility with elected officials on all issues important to this industry and support continued dialogue with regulators for enhancement of the Barber, Cosmetology, Esthetics, and Nail Technology Act.”

Education: “The IACS Education Committee believes that education of teachers, as well as owner based programming remains a primary function of IACS and is central to IACS’s mission to its members.”
